Employee feedback and colleague voice are very important to HomeLink Healthcare. We strive to be an employer where people are listened to at all levels with the ability to grow, thrive and make real change, both to the company and our patients.
We have several mechanisms in place for our people to feed back, including our employee engagement survey, The Happiness Index, which is available to all staff 24/7, open-door sessions with senior managers, a Colleague Council and our Freedom to Speak Up Champions.
Our annual staff survey in 2023 had an overall score of 8.5/10.
See below for some of our staff experiences and feedback we have received.
“You’re empowered to do the job how you believe it should be done. It’s all about the quality as opposed to the quantity of work. As a nurse, I want to be able to do the best job I can. The peer support and management is very good: although you work on your own, you don’t feel like you’re on your own.” – Elaine, Community Nurse
“It’s the best place I’ve ever worked. You’re treated with respect. You feel like your own boss. They listen to you; they’re willing to listen to any ideas you might have. It’s like another world”. – Michele, Healthcare Assistant
“If you’re coming from the NHS, stepping out that first time to the independent sector can be daunting. But there are so many benefits that come from this transition. You can do a lot more, and there’s a lot more support available and freedom to be able to work creatively to support patients.” – April, Head of Clinical and Operational Services
